Brief information
Veterans Support Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit humanitarian and educational organization founded to improve the quality of life for deserving veterans and their families. The Foundation’s office is located in Silver Spring, Maryland.

The main objectives of the Foundation are to:

  • To help fund nonprofit organizations in support of veteran related projects
    throughout the United States;
  • To assist disabled veterans and their qualifying dependents and/or family
    members;
  • To assist and provide transitional and permanent housing for homeless and
    at risk veterans;
  • To enrich the lives of all veterans and their families.

Eligibility
The Foundation is committed to serving today’s needy veterans and their families by awarding grants to organizations that address essential housing, education and medical needs. The Veterans Support Foundation (VSF), as part of its ongoing service to veterans and their families, provides funding in the form of grants to projects sponsored, supported or endorsed by the National Board of Directors, State Councils, and Chapters of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA). VSF gives priority to matching fund projects. VSF provides funding solely for scientific, charitable, and educational purposes.

Funding range
Grants are scheduled for a one (1) year period and are considered for “one time or start up projects”. Grant requests in excess of $10,000 are discouraged. Please read these instructions carefully. This Application is subject to change on an annual basis, usually in January of each year.

Deadline
Deadline for submission is March 31st of each year. NO EXCEPTIONS.
